Eliza’s Sparkle

Thanks to the support that the Hurt to Help community has given we have had the privilege to meet and donate to the most amazing young girl (Eliza Reynolds) and her incredible family (Dad: Clark, Mother: Britt and Sister: Emilia). The Reynolds family are from York a small country town east of Perth. Their world was turned upside down late last year when Eliza was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately the only treatment for this type of cancer is in America and so the Reynolds family are facing a challenging battle ahead.

Your support of Hurt to Help is making such a difference so please spread the word as we continue to fight the good fight. If you’d like to donate the link is in our bio, or if you’d like to support Eliza she has a fundraiser at elizassparkle.square.site. Britt has shared their story below, please give it a read 💕.

During the holiday season, Eliza’s journey took an unexpected turn when she fell ill, experiencing one of her first fevers. What began as double vision and occasional headaches soon led us to a whirlwind of medical appointments. Fast-tracked from an eye exam to a diagnosis at PCH, we learned that Eliza has been battling a Poorly Differentiated Clival Chordoma - a condition so rare there’s only medical evidence of 60 cases worldwide.

Yet, amidst the whirlwind, Eliza has been a beacon of strength. She’s completed her fourth round of chemotherapy with remarkable resilience. The incredible teams at PCH alongside the Chordoma Specialists located in Boston are crafting a care plan that gives us hope. Next stop: Proton Therapy in Jacksonville, Florida!

Eliza’s diagnosis has reshaped our outlook on life. We celebrate the memories we’ve shared and the adventures she’s embarked on in her young life. With gratitude in our hearts, we know Eliza will continue to dazzle us and her medical team with her courage and spirit.

Our deepest thanks go to the amazing team at Hurt To Help for their generous donation to our family. Your support not only lightens our burden but also fills us with hope for Eliza’s bright future.

Eliza’s journey is being documented on Instagram at @elizas_sparkle if you would like to follow along.
